Tim Owens is an established solo artist, songwriter & producer also known as "TiO". He is a graduate of the Arts Magnet High School of the Performing Arts in Dallas, TX and the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. While studying music in Boston Tim was signed by Atlantic Records and recorded his debut CD release, "I Just Wanna Love You" which embodied the Billboard charted single, "Smile". The recording process brought Tim to Los Angeles where he yet resides working with countless artists both on stage and in the studio. The list includes Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Faith Hill, Patti Austin, Dave Coz and Gerald Albright to name a few. He toured and recorded with MCA artist, K-Ci & JoJo (formerly of Jodeci) from 1998 through 2003. While working with the platinum selling duo, TiO wrote & produced several songs for them including the single, "This Very Moment" from their latest CD, "Emotional". This song was also featured in the film, "Deliver Us From Eva" starring Gabrielle Union and LL Cool J. Tim has spent recent years touring all over Europe, Asia, and Africa with Al McKay's "Earth, Wind & Fire Experience" as lead vocalists. Owning his gospel roots, TiO embraces the connection to spirit and the power to communicate a message through song. "I feel that music should inspire, heal, enlighten and feed the soul. When musicians take the gift seriously, we can embrace the power to affect change in the world. I intend to continue writing, performing, recording, teaching and learning music throughout my natural life. Music is not just something I do, it is who I am."
