Shu Yang
After two very successful concerts in Dallas, 2006 and Taipei, 2009, Shu Yang is preparing to record his first solo album "Dream and Love'. The songs he selected for his concerts were timeless masterpieces ranging from classical to musical theaters to pop, from Italian to English to Spanish to Chinese. Grown up in China and then spent most of his adult life in the US, he gained the strength of bridging the eastern and western cultures smoothly, which has demonstrated in his unique interpretation of the songs. Shu has loved singing ever since he was a child. He was lead singer in several school choirs from elementary school to Shanghai Fudan University. Shu was also very active in several community choirs in Dallas, Texas, singing solo, duet, and quartet in their annual concerts, besides being a lead tenor. Although he was trained as a scientist with a Ph.D. in physics and is now an accomplished UnFranchise business owner and trainer, his passion for singing has been a constant of joy. Shu Yang studied singing with Yayu Khoe, a distinguished Soprano and voice teacher for about two years. Later, he was introduced to Professor Joan Wall, one of the 20 prominent American vocal teachers featured in the book entitled A Spectrum of Voices: Prominent America Vocal Teachers Discuss the Teaching of Singing, to continue explore his potential. Five years of training with Prof. Wall, Shu has experienced that transformation from amateur to professional singing voice he's always dreamed of. The exciting thing is that the best is still yet to come and only the sky will be the limit! Shu is very grateful for and cherish all the opportunities to sing in front of big crowd of tens of hundreds to tens of thousands of people, at conference finales and functions. He feels there is nothing more satisfying than seeing people are touched and inspired by the music you recreated.
