Samson comes from a large family of 8 members (including a twin brother, Samuel) in one household. His parents passed away at the age of nine, forcing them to move in with their aunt next door. Samuel and Samson started singing in their first year of High School as members of the gospel choir. Eager to learn as much as they could, they both attended breakdancing classes and variety shows. They went on to also teach themselves how to play piano. Starting early as 14, they began to tour with the choir to such locations as Italy, France, Ireland, and Amsterdam. They have also sung in the Boston Pops several times as well as soloing at Symphony Hall (Boston, MA). Trying out for "American Idol" Samson & Samuel made it past two auditions and finally came face to face with Paula, Randy, and Simon. Unfortunantly, Paula and Randy said that they were "TOO MUCH HIP HOP" while Simon wanted them to continue with the competition. Now Samson and Samuel both dedicate as much time as they can to their art, spending the day at their 9-5 while tirelessly working in the studio at night. Samson hopes to one day make performing a career, so that he may travel the world and inspire the youth in our communities.
