Jade Harrell
22-year-old singing sensation Jade Harrell, who hails from Jacksonville, FL, began singing at age 5 for her local church and youth group. Growing up with a love for all Genres of music, Jade's influences include Brandy Norwood, Erykah Badu, The Zombies and Michael Jackson. This was evident on her eclectic June 2, 2009 debut record, Class Reject, which she wrote herself with the exception of a cover song from the Doobie Brothers. The Album's funk and techno elements combined with danceable melodies to make Class Reject a "must have" for anyone's summer fun music collection. After touring the country for several years with award winning hip hop rap group, GRITS, Jade went home to Dallas, Texas to continue writing and performing in her local area. Currently, she is in the production stages of her sophomore album which she plans release later in 2012. A refreshing new voice on the emerging Christian music scene, Jade is DEFINITELY one to watch. "Normally, I'm a bit critical of mind-numbing music. However, Jade does a good job of making music that lets you just cut loose without feeling stupid for it later. Case in point, the first two tracks, "Into the Music" and "Me and My Radio" are fun and poppy. Jade makes no apologies that sometimes it's entirely about the music, nothing more." - Review by C.E. Moore "With a slew of catchy tracks and quite a diverse batch of styles, Jade Harrell never fails to deliver on her debut album. I think it's safe to say that Jade is here to stay." - Review by Matthew Watson "Nice debut by Jade Harrell. With a nice mix of retro cuts, ballads, and techno, this newcomer has so much potential and this is only the start. Radio take note!" - Review by Dwayne Lacy
