Nu Dezygn
Rodney "Hot Rod" Dalton is the keyboard player, vocalist and producer in the band Nu Dezygn. He has been playing the keyboard for 20+ years; he also a gifted singer and producer. Hot Rod says that he has inherited his musical gifts from both his mother and father. Some his accomplishments have included performing at the BET Classics, makes beats for various artist in the Carolinas and produced a commercial for a clothing store "Urban Cartel" formerly in Statesville, which played on Power 98' radio station. Hot Rod's influences include such great artist and groups such as, Quincy Jones, Al Greene, Curtis Mayfield, Prince, David Lee Roth, Teddy Pendergrass, Billy Paul, Elton John, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. This talented is sought after to play and sing at local events and called upon to produce many up and coming artist. He has a passion for writing, producing and teaching others and watching them grow. Rodney's future goal is to have a song on the top 100 List. Jaliel "The Lover'" Strickland is Nu Dezygn's drummer. Jaliel has been playing the drums for 13 years. He has been playing percussion in local bands, clubs and Nu Dezygn (formally Perfect Symmetry). He also plays at his local church Holsey Memorial AMEZ Church. Jaliel's goals are to become a successful musician and to have a Cadillac designed by himself. Thomas "The Axe Man" Chambers is the guitar player in Nu Dezygn. Thomas was raised in Philadelphia, Pa and moved to the Carolinas in the late 80's. He has played for several people in the North Carolina Piedmont and in churches across the state. He also played for Teddy Young (former drummer for Wilson Pickett), Steve Wilson, Christian Outreach, local band Perfect Symmetry and currently Nu Dezygn. Thomas was influenced greatly by such artist as, Michael Jackson, Prince, Van Halen, Mint Condition, Steve Vai, George Benson, Earth Wind & Fire, Jimi Hendrix, Norman Brown, Yngwie Malmsteen and Will Downing. His goals for the future is to put Jesus first, leave an inheritance for his children and family; to become a better musician, song writer, producer and entrepreneur. Reggie "Magic Fingers" Strickland is one of the keyboard players in Nu Dezgyn. Reginald Parker Strickland II was born and raised in Iredell County. He is 24 years and plays the Great Sounds of the keyboard. Reggie says, "Music is a challenge as well as an experience, one in which I will always hold near and dear to my heart" He believes that it gives him the strength to want to make something of himself as a musician, to encourage him and to want to share with others. Playing the keyboard motivates Reggie to never give up on what he loves to do and never allow anyone to take his passion for playing away. His personal goals are to produce, arrange and perform on a professional platform as a keyboard player. Terry "The Bass Man" Ijames plays bass guitar has played for Nu Dezygn. Terry is a 20 years+ veteran playing in the Piedmont area and local bands. He is currently the bass guitarist at Zion Wesley AMEZ church in Troutman, NC.
