Mia Boostrom
With a sultry voice, story-telling lyrics and catchy pop hooks, Mia Boostrom is becoming a big name in the music industry. With reviews calling her "A mix between Norah Jones and Taylor Swift', Boostrom dove right into the sea of Pop-Rock. After her debut CD, "Lately', landed her in contact with some of the worlds greatest producers such as David Foster and Martin Terefe, Mia took center stage on the Hit NBC television show, America's Got Talent. The now 18 year old musician, is no stranger to taking on a live audience of thousands, or a home audience of millions. With performing for sold out arenas, casting agencies, and world renowned critics such as Simon Cowell, Boostrom is ready to get her career to the next level. In 2008, She played for over 20,000 screaming fans during the national anthem and halftime show for the Boston Celtics at TD Bank Garden. She also released her first CD, "Lately". Where she performed with her band for over 400 people packed into her local hot spot Rick's Music World. In March of 2009, Mia was asked to return as the comeback kid on America's Got Talent season 4 where she sky rocketed to the semifinals. She then reached international success. Her voice has been heard from her hometown, to edge of the California coast and even some fans in Europe and South Africa. Due to her encouraging words to her fans saying "Never Stop believing in your dreams, even if you may not be the 'Exact' American image" Mia was nominated and rewarded Breakthrough Artist of the Year by international clothing company Torrid. Currently, Mia is performing with the band Brick Park in Boston regularly at Hennessy's in Faneuil Hall and many private functions. And some times a road trip to Philly, as well. Still only 18, Mia is recording several new songs and has broadened her horizons with an influx of outstanding musicians and other singer/songwriters that she collaborates on new material. Amazingly enough her big break is still to come.
