At the tender age of 3, Caitlin began singing in church with her father's folk group during Sunday Services. As a teenager (age 15) Caitlin signed up for the Kiss 98.5 Buffalo Idol Contest, Needless to say she won the Kiss 98.5's "Buffalo Idol' competition and headlined at HSBC Arena before Avril LaVigne and sang with Gavin Degraw. She also won several other local "Idol" contests and signed a recording contract with Audio Magic Studios.
While attending Orchard Park High School she was the Captain of her basketball team which she (broke O.P.H.S. record for 3 point baskets), and took dance lessons at Eugenia's Dance Studio.
In her junior year, Caitlin retired from basketball and began playing rugby for Orchard Park. Caitlin with her competitive spirit quickly became the most accomplished female rugby player N.Y.S. had to offer. She won numerous awards as Captain of her team, was named New York State All-Star MVP, and went on to compete at the national and state level for 2 consecutive years.
After graduating Orchard Park High School as an honors student, Caitlin attended Canisius College and continued playing rugby; her contribution to the team helped them rise from D3 to D2. She now coaches Orchard Park Rugby in the Spring.
When Caitlin is not coaching and playing rugby she is focusing all of her attention on singing. Caitlin sings in the Buffalo, NY area regularly with the Jamie Moses Band and you can also find her singing duets with various artists.
This past year she has been on "American Idol' season 10 and most recently on Simon Cowell's newest production, "X Factor USA' on Fox Network. Her "X factor' performance was outstanding to say the least and showed her magnificent voice.
In 2011, Caitlin & The Jamie Moses Band were the winners of 3 Buffalo Nightlife Music Awards, Including Best Female Vocalist. "On behalf of myself and the Jamie Moses Band, I'd like to thank all those that voted in the Nightlife Music Awards. The band and I took home multiple awards in different categories, including Best Female Vocalist. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!" - Caitlin Koch
