Aisling Peartree
Aisling (pronounced Ash-leen) is a singer/songwriter who grew up in Dorchester, in Boston, Massachusetts. Her first performances were as a child in the gospel musical "Black Nativity." She studied classical piano and voice, as well as ear training, solfege, composition, and music theory at the Community Music Center in Boston. After graduating from The Winsor School, she then went on to Columbia University in New York, where she received a Bachelors in Political Science and African American Studies. Her music is Soul R&B with jazz, gospel, classical and folk influences. She has performed throughout Boston, Massachusetts, New England and New York, and her performances include shows and events at such venues as The Middle East, Church Boston, t.b.d. in Brooklyn, The Gallery at The Piano Factory, The Boston Foundation, the Bulfinch Hotel, the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Boston's GreenFest festival at City Hall Plaza, and the Community Music Center's fundraiser at The Modern Theater, the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, and the Hard Rock Cafe in Miami.
